Dave Pessagno was our hometown, high school hero. A leader on and off the field. To no one’s surprise Dave’s success never ended. He has become one of the most dynamic prominent figures in our community and he is dedicated to making the area a great place to live.

He is someone who has attained greatness but considers himself just one of the guys.  For those of you who are new to the area, Pessagno became an every day word back in the 70s when he would pack in fans who came to watch his amazing sports feats in baseball, basketball and football for Binghamton Central.  But everyone now knows him best as the Events Coordinator of the Spiedie Fest and as the Marketing and Promotions Director for Dick’s Sporting Goods Open, two of our area’s biggest summer events – that not only give thousands an experience they will treasure for a lifetime but also help to promote economic development and needed revenue into this area.  In fact an economic study found that the Spiedie Fest and the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open infuses into the area  more than $22 million.

Thanks Dave for all you do in making summers here the talk of the town.
