Spring ‘18 is here! Are you up on the latest beauty trends? If not, don’t worry! There are a bunch of fantastic new beauty trends hitting the runway and fashion magazines this season. Let’s explore some of my favs that are easy to master whether you’re a beginner or a pro!

The first trend that I am most excited about is the re-emergence of bold blue shadows and liners! This trend was popular a few years back but has slowly gone out of style. Now with makeup artist extraordinaire Makeup by Mario, the makeup artist to Kim Kardashian, we are seeing this blue eyeshadow look everywhere. In these collaborations with Kim Kardashian West Beauty – KKWxMARIO we are given a deep blue shade in the palette that looks complimentary on all skin tones and eye colors. We are also seeing blue hues in the Pat McGrath eye shadow palettes, on Marni and House of Holland ads, just to name a few. Electric blues were also showcased on the Chanel runway this season.

But not to worry! If you’re not feeling so blue we are also forecasting a bloom in pink eyeshadow! It is hard to miss some version of a pink lid look this season! From dusty roses to electric pinks this trend is catching on quick! My personal favorite look for this trend comes from the spring 2018 A Detacher runway. For the look they had a fully pink eyeshadow covered eyeshadow look with just enough shimmer to give homage to last year’s glossy eye shadow trend. If drama isn’t your style though we see Cynthia Rowley’s spring add showcasing a model with a softer red halo eye look. Perfect for a more casual affair.

Time to light up your life! Sparkles are back and better than ever! With festival season fastly approaching we are seeing glitter , shimmer and crystals everywhere. Jewels manicures are huge right now. They are lightening up runways and stars such as Cardi B. We are also seeing them on New York Fashion Week, more specifically on the Jeremey Scott runway where he flaunted models with crystals under their eyes and sparkling attire. Dries Van Noten is adding gems all over their models from their lips to their eyes and hair. IGK just launched a limited edition Glitter spray and Holographic spray for your hair! A must have if you want your hair to sparkle like a mermaid in the spring sun! And of course you can’t miss Rihanna’s Fenty Body Lava which gives your skin a goddess glow and sparkle. Even Givenchy was seen adding gems to models cheekbones to give a little extra sophistication.
