They say that opposites attract
When I spoke with Linda and Donald C. Snyder of Binghamton I know that saying is true. Linda is a beautiful woman who is full of positive energy and is graced with such an outgoing and welcoming personality which plays very well off her more reserved, intelligent and thoughtfully caring husband. Their connection began almost 50 years ago when Linda and their mutual friend Frannie and one other needed a ride home from the Laurel Bowladrome and Don was more than happy to accommodate. As they drove in his brand new 1968 Camaro Don remembers loving Linda’s Italian accent and the fact that she had just arrived to this country a few years earlier. As Linda left the car, Don winked at her and made no haste in contacting Frannie to get Linda’s number. Their connection was strong and Don says “it was love at first sight – kismet” with Linda adding “I couldn’t think of ever being without him – it was like it was meant to be – like I was destined to cross the oceans to find the love of my life”.
Now about to celebrate their 49th wedding anniversary this Sept. 26th they happily look back at their life together, a life that included the birth of their daughter Christina Maria and granddaughter Gia Victoria. Their advice to those who are seeking a lasting loving relationship is to always keep the communication lines open and loving and to remember to compromise when needed.
